DVD Commentary by Steve SmithEdit

{from Stuffed and Mounted}

STEVE SMITH: Uh, again, I mentioned Rick Green earlier, but again, we had things we wanted to say through the show, and in this one, what we called the "mid-life" part of the show, where I sit at the desk and tie a fly and talk about being an old guy, uh, I got to talk about angry people. This is something that Rick and I have always wondered. Sometimes, when you're talking to someone and they're angry, you automatically assume they're angry at you, but... they may in fact just plain be angry.

Plot: Possum Lake has frozen into ice, suitable for skating on. But Red learns that yuppie cottagers want to use the ice for curling, which Red doesn't particularly care for. The lodge challenges the yuppies to a hockey game, and whoever wins will get first dibs on the ice. The men of the lodge run into some problems during their practicing for the upcoming hockey game and eventually decide to have Harold be the goalie. Harold soon dresses up as a goalie, with the facemask done up in a caricature of his own face. They then go to the actual hockey match. But the lodge loses, 37-0, thanks in part to Harold's unusual goal-tending.

Red's Campfire Songs: Different kinds of horses.

The Possum Lodge Word Game: Dalton tries to guess the word "compromise" to win a dog whistle.

If It Ain't Broke, You're Not Trying: Hap brings in a fireplace grate for Red to repair, which had apparently been bent by a fat burglar in a red suit.
