Opening Words: Women better themselves. Men better their friends.

Plot: The men start trading various junk for more junk, leaving Harold with a picture of a possum from Old Man Sedgewick. Red identifies it as a picture of Possum Lake. It is actually marked with a mysterious X. Everyone thinks it's treasure. Naturally, it turns into a contest on who can make the best diving suit so that they might retrieve the untold riches at the bottom of the lake. Harold spends all of his time in the library to try to find out what the treasure might be, instead of hunting for it like everyone else. It is eventually found by Harold that in 1943, Old Man Sedgewick worked on the railroad. Red eventually claims the treasure, which turns out to be a railroad sign in the shape of an X.

  • As mentioned by Steve Smith on Red Green: Duct Tape Virtuoso, in terms of the lawn roller that Red makes for this episode's Handyman Corner segment, he goes through several rolls of duct tape in search of something to attach the duct works together before finally settling on adhesive tape to do that job. According to Smith, they used a hundred episodes to set up one joke.
